Hey guys, I'm getting really tired of stripping or breaking these weak ass mounts. Let me hear some opinions on what you guys think are the Strongest & most durable...
I've used Dynamite, New Era, Megatech and stock Traxxas.
Does anyone make a Titanium mount?
I'm running an OS .15 CVX Hyper on an older TMaxx.
Please give me a few suggestions.... HELP:mad:

I've stripped 2 different mounts the stock and dynamite.. so what I did was took a longer screw and a bolt and mounted it like that. They dont loosen up or even move on mine. Try it if you havnt.

Thats how I usually repair a stripped mount, but its a pain when you need to adjust the motor and such...

Yeah... then maby re thread the holes a little bit biger... If you didnt try that already. Use a biger screw with less threads so theres more of a a place to grip..

I honestly wouldn't know. I am still using my stock mount and my truck is over a year and a half old. One of my friends stripped his stock mount, got the traxxas blue alumnium mount and had it break while he was driving his truck.

You guys must be pretty hard on your engine mounts. I'm at a year and a half with my stock mount with a Fantom engine strapped on. Have yet to strip a screw on the engine or the mount.

I do not know of a Titanium engine mount, but will look around for you. My first guess would be Hardcore Racing. They make just about everything in Titanium.

Looks like my first guess isn't correct. They have titanium just about everything else for the T-Maxx. Heck they have a Titanium mount for the Savage and several other vehicles....just not the T-Maxx.

I'll keep looking and let you know.

I see that Integy makes an engine mount for the t-maxx. They call it an "Alloy Engine Mount", I assume that means aluminum. They do not have any in stock. In fact, I don't see that they have any t-maxx parts in stock.... sounds kind of fishy to me.. :)

Anywho.. it's an option.

i was just shopping for a new engine mount since i snapped my stock one and stripped out the trinity machined aluminum with heatsinks i ordered to replace it when i came across this thread. i found a titanium one and ordered it and figured i'd share the info with you guys. Here it is.

Wow... You had to dig pretty deep to find this thread.... lol

Nice find, none the less...

I havent striped, or broke my engine mount in my t-maxx yet and its been 2 years. A TRX .15, TRX .15 Pro, and a Wasp .18. good luck findin somethin ImBroken.

Even though this post is as old as hell ill still comment.

I've broken 3 mounts (2 stock and one integy) I HIGHLY recomend you DO NOT get the integy one its is made of crappy aluminum along with the rest of their stuff i busted it in a whole 2 tanks of fuel.

I reccomend the Hardcore mount i put it on when i had my 2.5 now i have a fantom and beating the thing more than ever and the mount is houlding up great!

It's funny, when I saw this post with my name under it, I thought someone was using my account. That's how old it is... lol
My solution to broken engine mounts, was a .21 Conversion... Never looked back & wish I had done it sooner...
