hi eney help would be much appreciated i have a tmaxx it was the original pro 15 but now has 2.5 engine and evar since when it first went in it shreded a spur gear put a new 1 in and meshed it properley (i think that was the problem the first time ) then it melted the centre outta the new 1 and now i have put a new spur gear in with new pegs and all it does is squiel and slip all the time I've tryed the tightning then losening it off a bit but it still does it ?

I've never had this happen but from the sounds of it, sounds like you got oil on it or something like noisy breaks on a car...maybe the gear just needs to be worn in...try cleaning it, if you had oily fingers i would imagine that could cause it to squeak ..

I've just tried taking it apart and cleaning it all but there still no difference it just does it when I excelarate hard when I just open the throttle a little bit it's fine as soon as you give it enemy more then that it just slows down but the gear still spinning like crazy thanks for the suggestion tho :)

hey i have to say that is odd, something is not right huh? you did not miss anything right? because the plates that go on each side of the gear, if you were missing the metal plates i could see the plastic doing that, other than that it is very odd indeed, i go threw these often and have never had that problem, they are junk anywase, go with that slipper upgrade thats what I'm doing, my slippers are always too loose and slip too much but once you tighten them down they warp due to the spring then it runs like crap with that wheel warped, so i think they suck anyways....sorry i could not have the answer you need it s an odd problem...:)

all i can think of, is that maybe something is missing so lets go through it, you have the slipper gear, spring and nut, should have 4-plates, 2-metal, 2-plastic, and there is a small piece that goes into the center of the slipper gear to align it with the shaft, we want to make sure when everything is assembled that it is all conected right, make sure the plastic washer and metal washers that go together are aligned with the little metal pin, check out those washers make sure they are good, and that the alignment pin is still intact....check it out gimme an update..:)

yeh thanks for that i have checked all my parts and it all matches up to what you have said should be there i was just wondering wether i fill the rest of the holes that have not got pegs in so there is a peg in every hole weather that would make a diffrence realy dnt know what to do with it now do you know if there is eney other sort of clutch i can buy

yes, there is a better slipper system you can buy, witch is the one i talked of, i am getting the same thing soon, and there is a forum were one guy just got his and hooked it up you can find it under the t-maxx forum i believe check it out, look up the slipper kit upgrade, thats what you want, thats what I'm getting, would suggest it were i go through slipper gears all the time and it is a total pain so would suggest checking out other forums in this web site and look up the slipper upgrade kit its like 25 bucks and I'm sure its worth it from what everyone sais!!

yeh I'm gunna have ta try get that or i might just sell the 1 i got and get a new 3.3 would probley be much easier then ordering it from usa

If you get a 3.3, that does not necessarily mean the 3.3 will come with the better slipper system, just a warning, you can do engine exchange at most hobby shops, your engine gives you about 50$ core charge, costing 100 for an engine, so you could take your 2.5 engine into the shop, exchange it for the 3.3 witch originally costs around 150, and your old engine bring 50 dollar core charge, so you pay 100 for the new engine, or pay the extra 50 for the engine out right, and the slipper system is only 25 bucks...i do understand shipping and ordering can be a pain especially when what you ordered does not fit or work right, just a suggestion, i would think it would be more complicating to sell one and buy another, were ordering or buying the 3.3 engine and slipper system, then you would have extra's!!! :)

get a new spur gear, and put all new pegs in as well. then tighten down your slipper clutch all the way, then loosen it 1/4 of a turn.

you should be good to go.

your melting the center out of the spur gear because your slipper is slipping too much. i had the same problem too. try that and let us know.
