what would you suggest to use for cleaning a T-Maxx?

Scrub Maxx

I use HPI Nitro Blaster.
Damned stuff is awesome and it smells better than some other brand name products out there.
I use a full tin after a parking lot bash

When it hits the dirt, I blow the excess dust off with a compressor.
After that, I use a baby bottle brush to get in all those hard to reach places and a toothrush.
Once I've scrubbed the mud off, I give it good blast with the HPI nitro cleaner.

The wheels get removed and scrubbed in a bucket of water with dishwashing liquid and a brush.

My MAXX gets a monthly teardown, where it gets stripped right down to parts, this is the ideal upportunity to clean all those recesses and places that you just can't reach with brushes and aerosol cleaners

trinity makes good stuff...their nitro blast will pretty much remove any scum left over from the good ol' air compressor. But most of the time the air compressor will do the trick. After a good day of running you should always check the binding of steering and suspension movement too because the littlest rock or mud can pretty much ruin your performance.

i use nitro wash on my truck and it works just fine. like mondo said there is usually a monthly cleaning. i take almost everything off of my truck and it gets cleaned.

I use denatured alcohol and nitro most of the time. If the thing is really freaking dirty, I usually get lazy and hose it down. Then I go back and oil things to protect against rust.

He had not had any electrical problem that I am aware of and he's been using a garden hose after most bash session for over a year.

Takes some doing, if you do it the nitrocleaner way. Garden hose method is much faster. Then just oil up the parts where rust is a bad thing and go.

For the record those were 2 different bash sessions, not the same day or even the same month. I actually believe they were a few months apart with the Private Property Bash session between those two bashes.

True, but I think you can vouch for the fact that my T-Maxx looks like the second picture at the start of each bash session.

Yes it does, it even bashes with your broke assed e-maxx body.

I wonder if my stuff would break as much if I put a little bling bling on it? Naw, it'd break worse and not look bling bling anymore.

Just because it has creases like military uniform doesn't mean it doesn't work. In fact the creases actually help...I can fold that body flat and store it just about anywhere...

Cleaning with a compressor after bash sessions usually does the job. If its really a mess, I remove the complete front & rear assemblies. They get cleaned in the sink with Simple Green, rinsed off & immediately blown out with the compressor. As for the chassis & its components, I do the same thing but with extra care not to get the electronics wet too much. The wheels are brushed and rinsed in the sink, and the motor is sprayed with contact cleaner and wiped down/blown off...
The end result is pretty much immaculate.... I can be pretty anal with my R/C's at times...lol
