Tmaxx 3.3

This guy on Craigslist wants to trade an upgrade packed tmaxx 3.3 for my traxxas rustler. He says one day he was driving it then it wouldn't start. I asked him what happened when he tried to start it and he said just a “click and then nothing like its locked up or something" anyone know what it could be?

It hard to say whats wrong with the engine without taking it apart and looking at it. It might be a bad starter motor on the ez start. Or a dead battery for the starter. It might be a broken connection rod between the crankshaft and the piston. It might just be something simple and it might not. Do not trade him until you find out what is wrong with the engine. That engine is at least $100 if you can find one that cheap on Ebay and it's more than that if you do the exchange through the Traxxas company.

$94 shipped without a carb on ebay. Just ordered one yesterday. Brand new trx 3.3 best price I've found so far.

i to have ordered 2 from that same place. Probably a 3rd shortley after something went down in there and took out the bearings. But they are new and see nothing wrong with them!

If its not running always assume
Worst case scenario with a used engine. Worst case is you need to shell out $100 for another engine

The question is upgrade packed with what?
UE, FLM, HCR, RPM arms? Anything Integy is a downgrade(except for their shock springs).

I would assume the engine is toast.
