Hi guys, I have a tmaxx 3.3 and I rolled it once with a roll cage and it will start idling at a very high rpm now and the spur gear will spin really fast, catch and repeat. Any help? I've already tried adjusting the idle screw also.

Ok, try this, before you try turning your rig over (starting) lift the rigs rear wheels (or all 4 if 4wd) off the ground and try starting it, if the wheels spin as your turning it over its most likely a broken clutch spring.

If the rig ALWAYS wants to go without throttle its most likely your spring.

High idle speed = Lean tune, a big idle gap/incorrect linkage adjustment or an air leak.

Do you have the black transmission with reverse by any chance? A high idle speed with that transmission will cause the truck to buck (spur spins fast, catches/bucks forward, repeats)

Yes I do have the black transmission with reverse, I turned down the idle but it made the bucking worse.

That transmission will always buck unless you do the no buck mod or install the forward only conversion.
With the engine (any nitro engine) well tuned, throttle linkage and idle speed adjusted correctly the spur and clutch bell should not spin when at idle.

ya i would like to know also cause thats kinda what i got goin on, just at an idle. the rev goes up and down and the wheels spin on an off over and over?
