tmaxx 3.3 glowplug burn up

within a matter of two days i burnt up 3 plugs it was about 90 out it was blowing a slight stream of smoke all the way through iv run about two gallons of fuel through the motor since break in do you guys think its time for a rebuild or is it just too hot and I'm running too rich

What % fuel are you running and what kinda glowplug? I run 20% nitro with 14% lubrication and an LC4 plug in my 3.3 and am only on my second plug since break in and that was back in April.

haha...no kidding! I'm running the same fuel and I also broke mine in in April. Changed the plug once after break-in, haven't had a prob yet.

33% wildcat helimix with LC3 and Merlin Hot plugs i broke mine in July of 2009 and ran two gallons through already

What is happening to the plug, is the filament being pulled?
With two gallons through it, you may be ready for a rebuild or at least a new front bearing.

Have you tried a cooler plug like the LC4?

the filaments fine its still in there but just wont glow and i took my motor apart the other day and noticed some scoring in the piston and sleeve but compression is just fine
