Well I just got back to working on this, I took the transmission out and when I spin the shaft, the front and rear work either way I spin it... Does this mean the tranny is good and its the rear diff ?

When I spin the rear wheels, only 1 or the other spins and kinda makes a light clickin sound... So do I assume this is the rear diff?

I have the parts weither it be the tranny or the diff... I'm just confused as to which it is, I'm leaning to the rear diff as its making that weird click sound even though 1 wheel still turns......

Appericate the help as ALWAYS!!!

if you spin one wheel the other will spin the oposite way. spin the driveshaft or where the driveshaft hooks to the rear dif and see what happens and if you hear a clicking i bet its in the diff... But before you do the dif um when you spun the tire was the driveshaft still atatched to the dif.??? if yes take it off and take out your dif.. mark the top of the dif because if you put it in upside down it will work backwards I have done it. it is a pain in the a## cause you gotta re tare it down and flip the diff. around.... GOOD LUCK....

It sounds like if your getting a clicking in the rear diff it sounds like the problem is in there.Tear it down and see whats broke.:whhooo:

Tore everything down, Guess what the friking problem was.....

worn out 14mm hub, rounded right off on the rear drivers side wheel.... Fixed that, put my tranny back in and the what not, guess what all 4 wheels rock again!

Yeah baby!!!!

This was a tmaxx classic 2.5 that I dropped a 3.3 in... Glad I didnt break anything other then that... Sucks I lost the one rim as that rounded out too but I had extras...

Thanks to everyone who tried and assisted me with this, I appericate the help a ton!

I also have a 2.5 classic t-maxx with the 3.3. Although I have not run into this problem yet, I was wondering what 14mm hub you are talking about so that I know what to look for if and when it happens to my truck. Any pics of the hub you are describing? Thanks.

Glad you got it working now go have fun!:p:

I just had her outside, she runs stout! this truck is one of my fav's, its an older tmaxx classic that used to be a 2.5, I converted it to a 3.3 and it just runs strong for what it is, hehe

Somewere down the road you might want to see about going with 17mm adapters if you ever change wheels more area would'nt strip as easy. Oh yeah i like it.:D

Are you saying that it was just your wheel hubs that were stripped out?

Yeah the black nut hubs with the pin that holds em in place...

The one rounded right into a circle, did it to the rim too, I thought the truck was running good but jeez, what a part to give out....
