so my tmaxx classic that I converted from a 2.5r to a 3.3 is a beast, was running and is still running great, the part is my rear wheels stopped being a part of the fun and my front wheels spin so much they balloon up..

What should I check for? What do you think my problem is, I dont hear any funky sounds or grinding or anything like that...

Thanks in advance..

Check inside the gearbox first.

I have another transmission if thats what your referring to?

I was thinking I might have ate a driveshaft or killed the rear diff but I'm not sure how to diagnose this....

Definently check your pins before you tear down I garrenty its that... And if not then it will be a broken rear drive shaft, or in your diff.

which pins? the ones in the u-joints?

I'm about to start ripping her apart...

If its not the pins on the shafts check your gears inside the trans or rear diff its one or the other.

Well its not the driveshaft pins, they all look good, if I turn the rear wheels by hand, the driveshafts and axles move....

How can it be my tranny if the front wheels still move? I'm confused...

I appericate the help so far....

I do have a spare tranny I could swap and see if that fixes it, but how do u check to see if its the diff, I'm guessing now that it isnt based on the fact that I am moving the wheels and the axles and driveshaft moves...

the pins that hold the shafts to the tranny and the diffs.... the pins you have to take out to change driveshafts.

Turn the input to the trans if the rear driveshaft turns and the wheels dont it's the diff.If the rear drive shaft don't turn something i the tranny is broke.:D The rear output could break internaly.

Thanks guys, Will check this out and see what happens, glad I have a spare trans and diffs laying around!

turned the shaft, all 4 wheels move, I dont get it... What am I missing ?

Under power it will slip.
You need to totally remove the pin to make sure it's not snapped off. It might look good from the outside, but if it's broken it won't turn the diff under load.

Thanks Rolex,

Which pin should I check, all of them? And how do I remove these? is there a tool I need or that came with the truck?

Thank you!
