ok the problem is that my new to me t max will not move under power.
my question is what is wrong with it?
things that i have checked are
sprur check
clutch check
no striped gears
i have it locked it forward so its not in between rev forward
st woot it moved like 2 mph
i just can't figuer it out its driveing me bonkers

the rig is a 2.5 with rev

i can't shoot a video the trans it out and taken apart but all it would do is rev to woot and not go anywhere.

what was turning when you did this? did the big spur gear? did the smaller clutch bell? thats what is needed to help

sorry forgot to put that yes the spur and cb was spining the driveshafts where not i think it has something to do with the forward spring clutch on the inside of the tranny but not the 2speed the one that flips out to engage the drive shafts

sounds more like the slipper clutch is loose on the spur gear. tighten the nut down as tight as it will go and try it. if it works, back it off about a quarter turn and you're good to go

on edit, was the center output shaft of the trans spinning?

its not the slipper and no the output shaft was not spinning but the input and spur was
everthing that u would thing to look at i did i have no clue what it is and I'm going nuts

what happens when you spin the input with the trans out of the truck? put a drill on the input shaft if you have to

if its not the slipper and the output shaft isnt turning and no gears are torn up, then its not locked into forward or reverse

it is locked into forward and if i spun the input shaft the output shaft didn't spin.
so far i took the spring out of the forward clutch and it engages but that's not how it is supposed to be.

its not new its used but in awesome shape its like the dude broke the motor in and put it up.

nope breaks went on but after i removed the set spring from the forward gear it engages i even tried to adjust it to where it was barely in and still no go but with it out it will move
ya know you would think that traxxas would have came up with a better way to lock the gears in.
