Whats The Difference Between Proline 40 Series Bow Ties And HPI Dirt Bonz? They Look Almost identical. which one is better. I'm looking for some new tires. i might get some big joes not sure yet.

Mark

The tires are just about the same.
Big joes are alright, but it depends on what surface you will be running on, and if you'll be bashing or racing.

Racing: 40's or bones
Bashing: Big joes
My 2 cents

ill be bashing. is there a better tire for bashing than big joes?

The big joes are just about the best all-around bashing tires next to the stock savage tires IMO...

The problem with big joe's is that there big.
You will need a good steering servo to turn those babies.
I guess if you wanted to keep the tires close to standard, I would look into the maxx mashers.
Click products, then tires, etc.

Off Road. I Think I'm Gonna Get The Proline Big Joes With Cheyenne Rims.

I would suggest a servo with at least 180oz of torque.

i have a hitec 645 steering servo too

it says 133oz of torque.

so do you think i should stay w/ stock savy tires?

No. I think you should do what makes you happy :)

645 should be good enough.
I'm an overkill kind of guy. The 645 will turn the big joes.
180 oz would turn them better, but thats just me. lol

If you want some new rubber, dont get 40 series, and Big Joes they are a big tire,

Get standerd size tires and you will be fine, with the servo you have

I use the 40 series w/ the 645 w/ no problem at all, in fact that's my racing set-up...But, I don't use the big joes of course. But I have a friend who has a savage 21 (traded in the 21BB for the S-25) and he has big joes and the STOCK savage servo (around 90 oz) and it's fine. But of course he wouldn't dare wanna race w/ that set-up...

Lol, you're gonna break your wheels before you wear out those stockers. I have yet to see a pair of stock savage tires worn to slicks. I'm hell on my tires, I do not have a single set of tires not yet mostly bald from the street....even my on-road tires... But the stock savage tires are still goin w/o much wear....And, I've even broken parts of the rim off my savage wheels, lol.

In fact, I have a challenge for everyone, I'd like to see a stock pair of savage tires WORN (not sanded down) to slicks...

WE Should Have A Tire Wear Compition You Gotta Prove That Thyre Worn out tho (pic).

i was just messing. lol. if some 1 provides the tires ill do it. :)

yea, i got the big joes and they look awesome which is a big part of why i bought them, the stock savage servo is what i use and it turns them fairly well, but turning gets extremly wide in my backyard even with the stock tires. but I'm planning on a new servo soon. most likely the HS-645 but i could get 160 oz of torque if i went 15 dollars more with the HS-5645 digital servo, but ill worry about that later. I'm just bashing so i think the 645 should work well

ya, I'd go w/ the 625MG, and digital servo is just too much trouble for just bashing IMO...especially in an MT...
