ok I was wondering if anybody owns imex jumbo maxxes and 40 series.

I think the jumbos add a lot more stability than stock but are too big. Iwas wondering if you have tried both 40s and jumbos and which are better?

Also what about maxx tires and wheels?

I've been told that you run a better chance of tearing up diff gears when you put on oversized tires I bought some ofna pirate wheels and tires for my T-Maxx they came with adaptors to fit the Maxx and when I found out how hard they are on parts I traded Plaidfish for them, he knew about the diff problem but He just wanted them for display since they do look very tuff. I think the best way to make the maxx more stable would be to get some rpm rims with the wide offset that would help a lot I'm thinking of doing that in the future. The 40 series look awesome though, but might be hard on parts. Imo

40 series are nice on both the maxx and the savage but from what I have herd and seen the jumbos are more for show and are just to heavy and big to work as a jumping tire.

Which 40 series work best on a savage(all around use)?

Well If you get the Jumbo maxxes will tear your gears up. Never buy em IMO. I had the 40 series rims and Big Joes. ran em around. I had two pairs and sold both. I would rather get tires that I would want to use than just a hype. I thought they were super cool looking but One run and that was it. BUT between the two I would get the 40 series but Bow ties. A VERY GOOD TIRE.

Bow lines are very nice I used to run them but I needed somthing with more bite.
You could try prolines new Moab 40 series their supposed to be a good all terrain tire

i agree with jesse g about the rpm offset rims. rpm will replace them if they break, they are light and they look pretty cool. i have the stablemaxx claws on my revo and it made it handle awesome. they were on my t-maxx for a short time and the difference was night and day. i'm running proline maxx mulcher tires on the rims and i also suggest those. but just read around and figure out what tire you think will work good. i think you will be happy with most of the tires out there.

Alright. Will the proline maxx mulchers on stable maxx clwas be big enogh for the savage?

i'm not sure, i'll put mine on my friends savage tomorrow and tell you how i think they work. i never really though about the size.

That is big enough for the savage. I run w/ the RPM Claw and Imex Baja tires. I don't have any problem with their size in comparison to the savage. True, they might look a hair small for the truck. At least that's what, one of my friends say. But keep in mind, all he runs is Big Joe 40-Series. So in comparison to the Joes, maxx tires are small. But performance wise, they work great.

I made my mind up to get a set of 40 series bow tie on yellow hd veolicity wheels for non racing use.
