Well, the track and the conditions will tell you what tires to use. At out local track, Hole Shots in M3 compound seem to work the best. Your best bet if your going to race is go to the track on race day and see who the "fast" guys are. Those will more likely than not be the tires you want. If your track/tracks have forums ask there about tires and set-ups.
That said, most tracks you will need at least 2 sets of tires to run with. One set for dry/dust conditions, and a set for a moist/wet track. An example is the Hole Shots will do well on a dry,slightly dusty track, but if its wet at all the mud/muck will build up and cake on your tires. You may need a good set of step-pins for this,they will clear the mud out. BUT the step-pins will skate more on a hard packed track.
