Hello folks,

I am searching for tires to fit my 40 series Wabash tires. Does anyone know what companies produce 40 series equivilant tires other then proline? Will Imex 38's fit if you stretch/soften them? How about 40 series molded inserts? Hmmmm? Is anyone making a tred patterns similar to 8th scale buggy tires (I think HPI has some on the hell fire)?

proline makes crimefighters for MTs...that's one of the most popular buggy treads around......or bowties (very similar to the crimefighters.....you have moabs for buggy and MT.....not a good track tire but all around basher.....there's panther tires and proline prettymuch for MTs.....I've been trying a set of performance Devices wheels and they rock, they only do buggy tires right now....same shape tread as the crimefighter but harder compound

Alrighty then, I'll go see what Panther Tires has to offer. The HPI Agressor looks awesome....

Hey Plaid,

So you do like the Moab as a good basher for the MT, and the buggy? How hard do you think they are on the diffs? Thanks

Tom

it's a heavy tire....will probably do as much damage to your driveline as the big joes but just roll alot smoother.....on a buggy they look pretty tough.....I only keep one set of basher buggy wheels and those are my road rages right now....when those die I'll get a set of Moabs to try out......I use mashers for my MT though....just an all around basher tire.....

It is just so damn tough to find a good set of basher MT tires that look good as well. The mashers are a great tire, but the tread pattern makes me think I am driving a tractor. I like the aggresive look of the tire, but again, is it worth prematuraly wearing out the driveline nope. I guess I will keep looking for a good bashing MT tire. I was hoping the Moab would be better than the big joe. Anyway thanks for the info.

for bashing I use whatever I can buy cheap.....or old race tires...I've only used 3 sets up this last year for racing/track time...most of that was from just practice time though...I only got to enter 7 races last year.......this year I want to hit every weekend if I can.......I got the race bug hard right now and nothing to do about it......

I know the feeling. I would like to race as well. I worked out a compramise with the GF that I could race at least a weekend a month. I know that sounds like crap, but last year I only made one race. So I will take what I can get. I will keep and eye out for the cheaper rubber and use that to bash with. THanks man.
