Hey guys, I am looking for some tires to use for bashing on hard packed dirt. What is everyone using??? also has anyone tried the new Lossi tires, the Zombie-Maxx tires??? They look real aggressive but how well on hard pack????

I have run the stock Savage tires, stock T-Maxx tires, ProLine Maxx Mashers, and currently run with IMEX JumboMaxx Claw Dawgz. All performed equally well on all surfaces.

Error runs a set of pinned tires on one of his Savages and they did well on hard packed and in sandy soil (at least that was my observation at our bash).

For just bashing, I think the best tires are the stock ones. If you looking for all around tire, I suggest using the bow ties. They are made by pretty much any RC tire company. They hook up really well in all terrain. But, they do tend to wear fast if you put them on pavement. You can even try the new HPI Dirt Bonz. They are pretty much the same as bow ties. Just my .02

Thanks sky & woody, I have used bowties, but they wear really fast on the track where I go. it is dirt, but as hard as concrete. Was looking for something that would hook up as good as bowties, but get a little more mileage out of them

Nice write-up. I run the same tires on a different style rim. Definitely make a monster truck out of the monster truck.

I'm gonna try mulchers. they should be here in a few days. my paddles where a blast in the snow this weekend.

the stock tires in my opinon are not very good at all. they roll over way to much and are way to soft.

anyone else have experience with mulchers?

I second the BIG JOES. They made an imediate 10 fold improvement in handling, they grab nice on anything and they are nice and wide. They also make the truck look a little nastier if you ask me. Try BIG Joes, you wont be dissapointed.
