tire trimming ??

ok i read in a mag here not too long ago about trimming the stock chevron tires for the tmaxx (not syping )
i have a extra set of new tread and i want to do this to that set ,
i guess it makes them handle better and rounds the ends for the tread off so not as square,but i can not find the article
can someone point me in the right directoion or email me a good pic so i can see how to do this please

i took my stock sportmaxx tires and cut them my self and it made a very big difference in traction as soon as i get some pics i will post them
