Tire softening?

Hey, I got some hpi falken azenis drift tires for my nitro car. I was wondering if their is a way I can maybe soften them? Reason being ,I still want control on turns without my front end slideing out.

I think the tire is as soft as its gonna get. I don't think there is a way to soften them. you may have to get some softer rings, or if you have a different kind of tire, then you will need a swole new tire. I'm pretty sure... but not 100% sure.

You can use traction compound to soften them up.

Experiment with 25% on the front inner edges initially and add more until you get the traction you desire.

if they are a rubber product you can soak them in any petroleum based fluid itll soften up the rubber

it starts to break down the rubber making it softer. just so you know how it works

hello fellow long islander! i know that would work, but they are hard plastic. i already tried that ,i used acetone and it did not do anything.

Drift tires were only made for drifting with little to no grip. There is probably no way to soften the hard-plastic kind. If you had the rubber kind like the T-Drift Potenzas, then the compound would work. Have you heard of Pit Shimuzus? Those have lots of grip while being able to drift. If you want something like ABS but with a bit more life and grip, go with polyethylene piping.

itll work probably just take way longer than you would be willing to wait. nexus with the weather we have been having some hard rubber compound tires will do the trick. i had my rs4 a few days ago and had it going sideways with rubber tires on it.
