RC Driving Style
hey, i just ran my car for its first long session since break in, i got to drive for about 2 hours, in a newly repaved huge parking lot, such a blast,
but at the end i noticed that my tires are done, totally, one even split,
now i wasn't just sitting there doing doughnuts or anything, i was just driving regular, big circles etc...
is this how long tires usually last under normal conditions, is there any type of tire that lasts longer,
also are the wheels/tires standardized, or do associated tires and wheels have to go on associated cars?

also, i have one pretty good tire on a broken rim, is there any way to remove the tire w/o destroying it, as so i can mount it on another wheel, is there something that will desolve the tire glue, cause it seems like once its glued, its not coming off without tearing

tyre choice depends on what you are doing, I have a set of tyres that are over 5hours old and still going, on the other hand I have another set that lasted no more than 15 minutes. Depends on a lot of things, surface you are running on, tyre compound, what inserts if any you use or if your using treaded or slick tyres. Also some heat tyres only last 5-10minutes........
As to removing the tyre, hard one but I have heard that some people actually boil them to break down the glue. I also believe that there is a release agent for super glue that should do the trick as well.
:)

Suspension adjustment/allignment makes alot of differance. Tires for racing like slicks or foams wear pretty fast, but treaded tires should last alot longer than that. You need to put it on a huddy and check your allignment.
