I was tryin to choose if I want a savage or not. I know that I would love the ground clearance with the sav, instead of a buggy, plus, I'm not going to be racing anytime soon.

So, I was wondering how long the regular set of savage tires will last, considering the break-in will be done on-road, and as soon as that's done, it won't see pavement almost ever. So, could I maybe get a time frame here? I'm thinking of running on dirt, grass, mulch, tanbark, etc...

Thanks in advance!

I broke mine in on pavement and I also do a moderate amount of pavement running--mostly when I'm tuning. I've put 3 gallons through it so far and they show little signs of wear. The only place where it's somewhat noticeable is on the outside edges from making high speed turns on pavement and even then its not that significant. I'm sure I could easily get another 3 gallons on them, probably much more if I stopped running on pavement all together. I couldn't tell you as far as how long they would last timewise, it all depends on how fast you go through fuel. Hope this helps you out.
The savage is a great truck--you definitely won't be dissapointed.

Based on your input alone, I can say that the tires will probably outlast the rims and many of the parts on the truck. I still have a set of Savage tires that are in near new condition (minimal wear) and ran in much the same conditions you describe. They are now a bit older than a year and have a few gallons through them.

You should enjoy them for some time.

Yea like everyone said... your tires will last for ever, I drive on the road alot and there is little tire wear.

Saweet, now that I found out that nitro cars don't drift very well without overheating, looks like it's back to the savage, I just wish cool rims weren't so expensive!

Thx!
