wondering if i should add a radial strip of duct tape to a set of bowties?

should i glue the front face of wheel first or last?

Ok, I've heard of using duct tape but how is it applied? Is it to the inside of the tire, underneath the foam insert? Next question is how does it help prevent ballooning? I've never tried it and would it be more beneficial to MT tires as opposed to buggy tires?

I have used duct tape on my tires and they don't balloon as much ..I think that the fibers and the adhesive in the tape keep the tire pretty much to its origanal form. try it om one trire and not the other and fire it up :arrr: and see.

the duct tape is applied to the inside of the tire then the foam goes in then it is glued to the wheel, works good for soft tires.

I turned my tires inside out, cut and applied strips of duct tape just big enough to overlap 1/4". Press it down firmly, & flip the tires right side out. The duct tape acts as a radial, to keep the rubber from expanding under high RPM. It helps big time with MT tires, especially soft pin tires like Bowties.. I have never heard of anyone doing this with buggy tires, but it seems like a smart idea..

It helps a little on buggy wheels, at least on the pin type treaded ones...but I don't do it on them any more cause the benefit for the effort didn't seem to be worth it to me....on MT tires it's a must...Bowties SUCK without em.....

I usually glue my fronts first, then the inside. And yeah, just put a line of duct tape right on the inside of the tire, then the foams.. I stilll have to do it on my stock savage tires. They balloon like nuts.

So do you put the duct tape on the wheel or the inside of the tire?

line the inside of the tire with the duct tape..

LMAO
seek medical help that is NOT natural....
No matter how cool your chick thinks it is....

Thats what ya get when ya swim in the Mississippi here in Mn..

turn the tire inside out. wrap it with duct tape, sometimes some superglue will help hold the tape better. then flip it rightside out again. put in your foam and glue to the rim like a normal tire.
