I'm almost finished getting my Revo running right, so now its time for some mods. First off is a new steering servo, since one of the factory ones has already quit. I've already ground off the steering stops and have ordered the aluminum crank.

Next i was looking into the center diff and rear brake. Correct me if I'm wrong, but on the 2.5 I'll have to clearance the chassis a little and switch to the 3.3 tranny housing? what else will be involved in this swap?

Also, what axles would you recommend?

Yes there is a little bit of grinding that needs to be done on the back of the chassis so the rear brake will fit. Other than getting the 3.3 tranny, that should be it. You will lose your reverse gear (not sure if you knew that).

I haven't upgraded my drive shafts yet. They're expensive (for my budget), I like the Traxxas CVDs, but I'm sure there are better ones available.

I noticed RD logics makes an open style axle without the boot. I've also looked at the Traxxas ones, but i wonder if the boot on them will last longer than the boot on the factory axle. Mine are shot and the truck is still fairly new.

I was also thinking about swapping to the 3.3 chassis. what would be involved in this? just the chassis and the longer center axles?

I believe that's all, unless you need a 3.3 tranny case, but I'm not sure what the differences are between the two cases. The price of the chassis is pretty reasonable, I'd consider doing it were me.
