Just me being picky again...that top pic on your first post. Those are not phantoms. Those are the F-100's I believe.

The very last ones from FLATTOP are 100's

I was an AF brat...I've seen them probably 12 times...from the first when they were in the F-4's, through the T-38's to the 16's now.

Jeez...AF brat, 12 years in the AF myself as well. Seen the T-Birds 12+ times...I saw the Blue Angels ONCE and they blew away all the shows I'd ever seen of the T-Birds!

The Blue Angles Rule....the F-18 RULES!

Yes you are correct, some are not Phantoms

Being an Air Force brat myself, I used to live at the T-Birds home base in Vegas and have seen them many times and I beg to differ about the Blues blowing them away

I'm glad that I wasn't the only one going to point out the mistaken identity of some of those aircraft. I'll leave the identity crisis alone....

As for the Blue Angels kicking the T-Birds arse in the demonstration world, sorry FLAT TOP (Flathead,Farthead, Llamaboy, or whatever the flavor of the moment is ;) ) I've seen both and the Blues always out do the T-Birds.

While I am not an Air Farce brat, I believe the swept wing snub nosed was the US version of the Mig-17 (I think). I remember seeing a show on the Discovery Channel about how we copied the Mig during Korea and we even offered a cash reward to any Mig Pilot who brought their plane in so we could copy the advancements.

I have already said all are not Phantoms, gee, I guess I should have clarified for every pic

Skymaxx, that is your opinion on the blues, I know you are partial and so am I, so for the sake of argument I will just say that BOTH are very capable at what they do.

I know you already stated that...that's what makes taking the shot so much fun. ;)

Not just my opinion...I believe Retread mentioned he liked the Blues over the T-birds. BUT, I agree both are great at what they do. So what is it that the T-Birds do? J/K:D

Awwww...can you feel the love in the air...Llama boy is back.
