Just traded for a used T Maxx. The end of the throttle linkage (part 5243) bumps into the EZ Start motor. There is plenty of clearance on my other T Maxx. Any suggestions on why the motor sticks out too far and how to cure the problem? It appears to be assembled properly and the EZ start motor works OK.

Just adjust the angle of the carb in the block. Loosen the pinch bolt, turn the carb for the needed clearance, retighten the pinch bolt. Then adjust the throttle linkage/trim accordingly.

thanks. tried that, but wasn't sure if it had an alignment key or not, so didn't apply enough pressure. Super thanks. you saved me some head scratching time.

Just make sure you press down hard on the carb when you tighten it in place. If you don't compress the O-ring you'll have an air leak causing you tuning nightmares.
