ok, my throttle(not the servos) the rubber part is sticking after I hit the gas. How can I fix this and how did it happen?
When I start the t-maxx it is very very loud like screaming but it doesn't move at all and when I hit the gas it is stuck in reverse. What happened here? how do I fix it?
Also what are the t-maxx's factory settings?

he HSN is 4 full turns out, the LSN is flush with the inner collar.

I would get the FOC will make the problems go away, will make it lighter, faster

How do you know it is stuck in reverse if it is not moving? Sounds like you may have stripped a tranny gear.

Same question back at you.

How "did" this happen?

Explain to us exactly what you hit and how fast you were going just before you started havening these issues.

I'd agree with Tarant here, install the FOC. While there, you'll see if you have stripped any gears.

It could be that reverse giving you trouble. If you noticed during the initial break in, the take off is not smooth at all, its very jerky. The FOC will give you a very smooth and stronger acceleration at a dead stop.

I have two maxxes, and that's what I've done with them both.

BTW: it's only about $13 or so from the LHS. Plus it take roughly 15 minutes to install.

That's not twhat I meant. WHEN its not moving it is very very loud.
When I hit the throttle it is in reverse. I flip it into foward and it revs then goes backwards.

I hit a car and broke some stuff on the front end nothing big. anyways it was running fine after that.
I just started it up once and it sounds like it is going full speed but its sitting still.

I would buy one but I don't know what an FOC is.

forward only conversion.. basicaly take out all reverse gears and replace them with another shaft you get form the lhs..

no way, reverse is awesome, one of the reasons I really like traxaas.

with the engine screamiong when you first start it it will not allow it to come out of reverse ,play around with it on your bench and see if you can get it to work out of reverse and slide into forward and try it .
and if your throttle is sticking look at the linkages and make sure nothing is bent since you hit a car and all ,
most times its just alittle adjustment with the trims on your radio to get it right ,
mine was flipping the throttle lever around and pushing it backwards which inturn left it go full throttle luckily the little rod moving the throtle wedged into the spur and stopped it .
not saying thats your problem just sounds like an adjustment is all.
could also try loosening the little screw at the top of the lever might be bound up or something too .
hope this helps alittle

Thanks, I will go work on it right now.
If anyone has any other suggtestions PLEASE post.

I have had the same problem after a bad crash and it was just as racin_38 said..I was also lucky that it jammed into the spur gear and it die right away. If that's not the problem you might check the spring inside of the blue rubber that's the linkage hooks to.

how bout take a close up pic of the top of the machine.. as close as you can while getting it all in there.. and as good of quality as your camera will do.. then upload it and let the maxx guys scope it out and see if anything is obvously wrong

Don't get me wrong, it's a useful thing on the t-maxx, but IMO I think it causes more problems than it is worth. It is good for bashing, but not for racing. It also contributes to the jerky take-off when you barely pull the trigger.

I do think it is cool that it is included with the t-maxx, but I really think they could have designed it better.

Exactly!!! I liked reverse when i got my maxx, then i thought i would try the FOC... Holy crap! Way smoother take offs.

Everybody loves reverse when they first get it. But for most, the better you get at driving the less you use it. And once you go FOC....It's awesome

I WOULD take a pic but right now the truck is in pieces. I could take pictures of certain parts....if anyone can name them. I'll take the tranny apart and ifn I dont see anything wrong I'll show you guys the gears and such.

But the foc sounds like a good idea but the chances my poopy lhs has one is 1%.
