- Spring attaches to throttle arm, not servo arm.
- The yellow zip tie cinches the spring in the middle of the spring (rather than the end of the spring), creating the necessary tension in the spring to do its job properly on loss of power.

tbsleeper, the throttle return spring will not work when there is signal interference. For that you need a fail safe. The throttle return spring is basically only used to prevent a run-away in case of battery problems. So the best is to have both: a throttle return spring and a fail safe.

Cheers for that Grantt. Its much appreciated.
That should save me a few quid. I think I've seen a spring like that in an old cassette player that I've kept for spares.
Shouldnt bee to hard too rig up.

Nice 1 m8.

TheSweeney.

where do i mount it? the guy told me the team associated spring would fit one mine but i can find newhere to put it? any one know

I thought even a failsafe won't help with interference (another person on same freq), thinking a failsafe can't determine between your signal and someone elses signal. I could be wrong.

tbsleeper I am in the same boat as you, I bought the Team associated spring only to find that there was nowhere to put it.

i got it to stay but wen i hit a bump it comes back out. guess i gotta keep lookin:\

sbb4us if u got the ofna ultra lx pro i found a good place and way to mount it. i used a safety pin and put it through a zip tie that was already on the car to hold the radio wires under the blue aluminum. then i attached one end of the spring to the circle on the safety pin and the other i attached to the little metal piece supplied. i pu the metal piece right one a one of the throttle screws

TRS will work through interference. It has no electronic components and is purely a physical or mechanical measure. Interference will not impact its operation.

Will it counter interference? That all depends on what the inteference is doing to the RC. If it is causing interupts to the throttle input, then you may very well see the TRS pull the throttle closed and slow the vehicle.

For those looking to rig up a TRS w/out directions, remember what the purpose of the TRS is. Its job is to pull the throttle closed. With that in mind you should be able to rig it up so that the spring can pull the throttle closed when need be.

The TRS is indeed not affected by interference, since it's just a spring. But I think that tbsleeper meant if it will prevent problems due to interference. Since the TRS will only do it's job when there is no 'tension' on the throttle link and most of the time there is, it will for sure not work in every case of interfernce. Maybe sometimes... In other words: you cannot solely rely on a TRS to prevent interference problems.
