I have a Revo with an .18tm installed. was super happy with it than I realized that the carb wasn't opening all the way. Then I was Ecstatic! the only problem is the carb is very inconsistent. It will open all the way 20 times in a row and then all of a sudden it will only open halfway. If I slide the carb in and out manually it feels smooth with no drag. then once I reattach the linkage and return spring It could work fine or it may not. the throttle linkage seems to bend outwards toward the rollbar when the throttle is applied. If you tap the linkage with your finger the carb will pop open all the way. now that I'm done boring you guys does anyone have any ideas cause I'm exhausted trying figure this out. btw, I have already installed ball bearings in the mixing arm.

Damn! What are the chances! I got on here to post the exact same problem! However, because of the carb. sticking now and again, I about totaled it today. Running great, so I decide to step on it, but whenI take my finger off the trigger, the carb. sticks at WOT! I'm just grateful there were some bushes in the way!

Anyhow, if anyone has any advice on this, I'm sure we'd both appreciate it!

First off, check your arm and see what hole your mounted too. I'm talking the little 'L' shaped arm where the throttle linkage hooks up too. On the mount there are two holes, an inner and outer. I found with the .18TM you need to run the outer hole. I've helped a few people with this same problem and in almost every case moving the arm to the outer hole solved the problem. You can also take the bushing out of it and replace them with 5 x 8mm bearings.

Yup, Jetmech is correct! I took my Revo into the LHS today, and not only does moving it work better, he also found a burr on the throttle body where the idle set-screw engages. He suggested not pushing the throttle body closed while adjusting the set screw.

I have the same problem, cured it with an after market lever (that small one) that came with bearings instead of bushings. Plus, leave the throttle return spring on!

I tried your idea jetmech and it worked perfect!!!!! Thanks alot I was worried for a minute!

MW, that's the problem. It is such a small part I cannot find a name on it, but I did get it at Ultimate R/C in Orange, CA. It is made from aluminum, available in black or blue anodized finish. Came with the bearings. Real smooth.

I think it is Dynamite brand, but again, I cannot remember.

I double checked Jet's suggestion. I found the one I bought. It is made by RDLogics. They call it the throttle/brake mixing lever. Check E-Bay. $5.99.

you can put a small spring and collar on the throttle linage

always give it a lil throttle to release the throttle body from it's seat before turning the idle screw in.......same as LSN...you should never push any of those lil parts into another part, EVER.......especially the needles
