Hey all I have a Revo 2.5 with a 3.3 in it. I just bought a FlySky GT3B. I went through the steps and set up the optidrive. My problem is it won't open full throttle. I moved the end on the slide out a bit on the "fork" on the linkage. There is still a little slop. If I set the trim all the way back I can get it to almost open. but I won't have any left.

So I also noticed that the servo stresses when it gets close to WOT. Could my battery be weak? Or Servo need replacing. Its old black 2055 Servo.

What about getting a metal linkage?

Thanks all!

Charge your batteries and if it still strains then the servo maybe getting ready to go bad completely. Replace it with a 2075 or another brand with higher torque. Futuba S3305 or a hitech 7955 or savox 1256tg. Dont bother with cheap knock off brands. Buy a good servo. And the cheapest of these i listed besides the traxxas 2075 is gonna be the futuba S3305. It has a 127 in oz rating. Same as the traxxas 2075. Either of these will get you to WOT no problem and will give you much stronger faster and better throttle and brake response.

Yeah i already had it charged to full. What about the high torque 2056 can i use that? Seemed fine with stock radio and set 70/30. If was set 50/50 it wouldn't go wot either. What about adjusting dual rate or anything? I'm sue i tried to set the endpoint as high as it would go also!

Thanks for your response!

The 2056 is stock in the revo and i replaced it with the 2075 and works tons better. Also check your linkage adjustment. May have to zero out your servo horn.

You could also replace your servo horn with a bit longer one for more travel.

I've tried that to.only thing i have not done yet is try to turn the carb!.
Is all this trouble caused by the 70/30 on the stock controller? I mean it worked fine with the old one.

My original one is a 5220 i think. Its the 2.5 with the3.3 in it fyi!

I thought about a longer horn! Just have to mod the cover so it can swing.

Thanks for your help been super helpful!

I'm also thinking of removing the return spring and adding a spring on the Rod with another lock collar. You know like some buggies etc have.

You have a FlySky GT3B. That is a digital transmitter with adjustable end points. Read your manual and adjust the servo throw via the menu.

Adjust it to the point of fully opening without the servo humming. You don't want the servo to be under load when it can't open any more.

K sounds good. thanks! Btw revo is insane and man can it take a pounding. Unlike my old redcat buggy lol every 20 min of use = 20 dollars in parts lol

Yeah i just hit the concrete pipe at the end of my drive full out yesterday. Hard enough it wedged the entire car in the pipe. Had to pull hard to retrieve it. Only thing broken was my front bumper ring mount. Amazing how much i beat on the revo and how little I've broken on it. I can't bash any harder than i already do. But by gosh i can try!!

Make sure you can open the carb by hand. Take the linkage off the servo and try move it to wot. It there is resistance where it's at wot you need to fix that first. If there is no resistance you may need to adjust the position of the arm on the servo or the grub screw which pushes the arm.

Well i got it. I set the endpoint to 120 then took the horn off the servo. Applied the brake a little and put the horn on. Adjusted trim a little and it opens. Still a mm or so from full but it got lots of power and works fine. Got a new servo ordered so until that shows up I'll use what i got now.

Thanks for all your help!
