after changing the spur gear the other day, took it out for 5 mins today and its thrown the new one, the last one the centre melted, this one the teeth wore away! did i fit it wrong? lol! was running really well before it happened, seemed really quick, when it was changing into second though it would 90% of the time cut out? is it related

regards

james

Cutting out is a sign of an engine that's too lean.
You may have had your gear mesh too loose, or:
Slipper clutch too tight, landing jumps on the throttle.
Loose or broken motor mount.
Bad clutch bell bearings, worn spur gear bushing.
Loose transmission.
Broken chassis brace.

after fitting a new spur gear just now i started checking everything that u mentioned, turns out 2 of the 4 mounting points for the engine had snapped lol, more money to be spent again!
