Make sure you are using the right kind of threadlock. Some are permanent. You want the blue colored thread locker or blue locktite. It may come in many different colored containers...but it should be labeled somewhere on the container as "Blue Loctite" or "Blue Threadlock"...

As for removing the screws, the more threadlock you apply the harder it is to remove them (even if you use the blue stuff).

the blue is medium and the red stuff the Permanent ?what color is the low hold stuff ?

no its just a little harder to turn...make sure you have a quality screw driver though...

Some screws require bigger screwdrivers than others. Dont use a small screwdriver on a big screw. You'll strip it faster than a hooker. But getting stripped screw out is a bitch. Dont do it!

Blue locktite is a definate must where your screwing into any kind of metal. I even found that I needed it on my cup pins for my CVD's.. The hard way...lol
A real easy way to remove a stripped out screw, is to take a dremel (with cutting wheel) and make a notch clean across the top, for a flat head screwdriver. You need to go as deep as you can without hitting the part its screwed into. A little added help is some heat (butane mini torch). They always come out for me...
My skid plate screws are always getting replaced....lol

Nice tip! I really like that one...:D

i have used it on my skid plate screws more times than I can count.

I thought it was worth sharing... Works for me, 9 times outa 10... The heat trick tends to loosen up the threadlock a bit, and lets ya ease it out, at least get it started...

I never heard that, usually I just drill off the whole head, then take off the part the head was holding, and remove the rest of the screw with pliers. Damn...lemme try it on my HPI engine mounts...they are long stripped.

The only problem with that tip is that you can't really do that to screwed that are countersunk. I have a few chassis screws on my RS4 that have been worn down becuase the ride height was set a little low.

What would you suggest for screws like this?
