if you absolutely have to have a nitro for drifting, then yes, that is probably your best bet. However, electric is far more popular for drifting cause of the instant torque which helps the fine control, and the fact that nitro drifters overheat easily due to lack of airflow over the engine (because the car is sliding around instead of moving quickly).
 
a friend of mine purchased that less then a year ago and he loves it, i do too. Good power, good drifter, overall awesome. Just don't race along a savage cause that can cause some broken axles on the little thing. Mine been the savage of course. :D
