Was getting a truck tuned and the crystal came loose so I had a runaway. Hopefully the motor didn't go. I got to it pretty fast when in smashed into the bushes. I can say I never had this listed as a possible failure mode.

Yep I had same thing happen once. I was hittin some big air jumps, landed a nice one truck took off WFO smashed into neighbors house LOL. That's why I now have return spring fail safes on all my bashin rigs.:D
 
Yea. This was one I was cleaning up to sell from Craigslist. I normally run fail safes but was just tuning it to take a video. Guess I will drop one in from here on out. :)

That 1 time you don’t install the failsafe or a TRS is the time Murphy is waiting for…
 
Go 2.4GHz and don't look back. You will have better range, response and a built in failsafe (most radios I've seen). I still run a TRS just in case. Sometimes the simplicity of a TRS just can't go wrong.
 
Yea. I have a DX3S and a GT3B I was just putting this together as a RTR. I would have never thought my first run away was going to be a crystal coming loose. :)
