Well i took my FR18 apart before i ran it but never took the plug out. I broke it in with 6 tanks of fuel today and took the plug out to put a few drops of ARO in and noticed there was no washer and looked like a turbo plug which i wasn't expecting the FR18 to come stock with. And also what would happen if i used a regular plug with a turbo head?

That is a turbo plug. Turbo plugs do not use a washer to make the seal as in a standard plug. If you tried to put a standard plug in a turbo head btton it would just sit in there and do nothing as it won't screw in because it is smaller in diameter.

Yes that is a turbo plug as the bottom near the element is conical shaped or tapered. DAMN EXPENSIVE PLUG!!

Hey everyone has a preference. I prefer MC-59's then ODonnells or OS. But hey no matter what turbo plugs are not as cheap as normal plugs.

Hi Jon2,

I understand that bro and Humbolt knows that I meant him no disrespect but I've never even seen a $12.00 plug. I wouldn't spend $12.00 on a glow plug if I had P-diddy's income as a matter of principal...lol. You can get SERIOUSLY high-performance 1:1 plugs for boost applications for around $8.00 and that's expensive in the automotive industry. I run NGK-R's on my cars with non rotary engines and they run $1.75. I've heard that glowplugs have expensive materials but they're aren't solid platinum....lol. When I was 15, I would chit my britches if somone payed $12.00 for one glowplug and my father would have shot me for being an idiot.

Lol I hear that. Bad enough I have to pay almost 15 bux for 6 platinum plugs but for 1 TURBO nitro plug? Damn sometimes I think this gets too expensive. BUT I still love doin it!! So for performance I guess its a price to pay for.

OS P series usually run from 9-10 on tower and my lhs has to keep the lights on.

I almsot droped my jaw when I saw some of the LHS's around here charging $8.00 each for OS8's. I usually pay $5-$5.50. Thanks for that sweet deal on the engine and plugs while we're on the subject Humbolt.

Damn your hobby stores are expensive! Plugs here go for 3.99- 5.49 and turbo's run 7.99 - 8.99.
