Luis

Don't scare him away w/ the truth about having to spend an enormous ammount of cash man......that looks to me like someone OVERtightened the screw there and put some serious stress on the countersink.....or a factory defect.....call traxxas and see if they will warranty it...if not a stock chassis is pretty cheap on e-bay....

Dont go out and buy a chassis worth a lot of $$$$$.
My chassis has never done that, most likely your problem was do to a defect,
Traxxas stock chassis's are stamped not cut out. Look over you chassis and look for signs of Metal Stress, as if someone has bent the chassis, this happens when their are impureities the the aluminum. a lot of traxxas stock chassis have some sign of stress my has signs of stress by the cutouts for the tranny screws this is not a high stress area so notheing has ever broke.
I would call traxxas and explain to them what has happend

simple question ,
i looked at the pics ,but i am at a loss here ,if you guys are saying that it could have come from evertightening the screws and its a stock tmaxx, no upgrades namely(aluminum bulkheads)how could you over tighten a screw going into plastic ??
would it strip out the hole first before causing that kinda fatigue ??
just curious
if he needs and is willing ot pay the shipping cost i will give him a stock chassis .
later rick

No , i got aluminum bulkheads...HOW can i know if I'm evertightening the screws ?
Yes I PAY ...SEND ME BY FEDEX PRIORITY....SAYING THAT ITS A GIFT LIKE THIS I WILL NOT PAY TAXES.

thanks a lot.....

If some one in US can buy me some hop ups...to tmax and after send me i will pay 5 % more of the price more the shipping costs. With a online store its a problem because i have to pay a lot of custom taxes ( arround 30 %)...
I live I'm Portugal

when you tighten them they should be snug but not freakishly tight. and if you are useing Aluminum bulkheads then you can use thread lock if they have it in portugal. also cheack the screws often and tighten them if they be come loose

I use Permatex Medium Strength Threadlocker Blue, is what it says.
it comes in a small blue bottle. if blue is not strong enough then use red but only if blue wont work

email me your address and i will check the shipping charges to you
and i will email you the information and you can paypal me the money for shipping and i iwll send it right out to you tomorrow morning when i go to the post office
glad i can be of some help to you
and it will be UPS .
i do not have a local fed-ex around me ,,
so ups is just as good
gotta love the big brown truck lol
and as with any metal to metal part just snug them and use locktite so they do not loosen on you

btw: i seen tarant had the metal to metal part covered ,if you ca nnot get the locktite let me know i got a small bottle i will send along
