I'm using the stock controller to the tmaxx 2.5 on my rc10CE. I'm using a reciever with a third channel and my controller has that red switch to bring the tmaxx from forward to reverse.

I was just wondering how I could go about making the third channel into headlights, Any help?

Just plug the lights into the third channel on the receiver and it should work.

I'd be inclined to make some sort of rig that uses a micro servo and a push switch to turn the lights off and on...

Yeah but do I solder my light wires to a wire that connects to the reciever? And do I need to program the lights or do they automatically work?

It depends on what lights you have. Some flash and some stay lit.

For the wires, you're suppose to solder those onto a receiver connector. Red wire to red wire and black wire to black wire. I don't think you're going to use the other color.
