Bash or race?

Parts availability?

These should be some of the factors to guide your decision.

What jon was asking was, do you plan to race it or bash it? If you plan just to drive around and have fun with it its a great car. If you plan to race with it, its probably not the best option.

I wanted to get your plans on what you wanted to do with this rig. AC said what I was going to say if you responded to my post with answers. I personally do not care for belt drives if you are going to bash but the HPI rig is a shaft drive as well as a NTC3. That is a race or bash rig.

oh sorry. well this is just a really good hobby to follow and i was just looking for something to play around with

I have a Nitro RS4 3 RTR. Not the SS, but the same chassis. It's a fun basher. It's durable so you can just go out and ram around the streets or parking lots. Parts are easy to get as it's still the most recent HPI chassis. It's a 4WD, shaft-drive drivetrain. I believe the SS comes with the 2 speed transmission which works well. And you can use most aftermarket wheels and tires on it. Also, most 200mm bodies fit just fine on it.
If you do plan on racing, though. There are better. But for an inexpensive basher, it works well.
