i want to put stacks on my maxx but I'm not sure how to do it does any one have pics or ideas on what to do

they are all show and no go. they are not tuned, will not give you the proper reverb, and will kill your engine faster then rolex at an rc mudbog.

i want to leave the factory exhaust i just want the stacks as exhaust tips will that still affect the tuning

you will end up with oil filled exhaust. the oil will get trapped in the bottom of the stack.

something you may look into. some companies make a tuned pipe that looks like dual exhaust. exits out the rear with 2 pipes. just make sure its tuned, and not a bunch of copper pipe stuck together.

i dont really like the dual exhaust comin out the rear thats why i was lookin in to stacks somthin differnt could i use a piece of silicone tubing and just make a single stack

The dual exhaust are known to be junk as well. Not enough pressure to the tank, causing a lean condition. Besides the fact that they are not tuned. Nitro engines rely on the frequency that the pipe reverberates at to draw the exhaust out of the engine. Hence the term "tuned". As I just stated in my last post, altering a pipe will more than likely make it, and your engine, useless.

Metalhead Matt is right.
Don't waste your time, money or effort if you ever plan on driving this truck. Duals or stacks decrease the back pressure and cause poor performance. All gas powered engines require and are designed to have a certain amount of it. If you change the back pressure the motor will not perform well at all.

if you realy want stacks. just put some dummy stacks. since its just for looks. also the stock pipe is hidden anyways so you will able to fool some people at the track?
