LMMFAO. . .i always thought FTW meant F**k the world". . .hehe. . .well i got it installed last night i just have to program it today and put the temp sensor and speed sensor on and i will be out on my way. . .but so far i love it it was easy to install and i LOVE the shorty antenna there is no antenna sticking out the top of my rig any more

******UPDATE******

I love my spektrum setup. . .it has sooooo much better reach than the stock TQ3 that was on my revo, i HIGHLY reccomend this setup to ANYONE. And the onboard telemetry is nice to have so you can see what kind of speeds ur running, or what type of RPMS the engine is turning and temperature it makes stopping ur rig in front of you nearly obsolete

Hey Revo, LMK the setup procedure can u please, i decided AGAINST the project dump (you know which one) because i am too far into it. and the Spektrum 3.0S is on my list and if i drop the project, i lose the spektrum, which i want !!!

the setup procedure is basically bind the receiver to the Transmitter, install the RX, plug in servos (DO NOT USE THE OPTIDRIVE IF YOU HAVE IT) the dx3s does not agree with the optidrive it will activate the failsafe as soon as u try to drive( ask me how i know. . .lol) and there are some slight mods you may have to do if you are using traxxas servos, if you are using traxxas servos on the servo plug that little fin needs to be removed (cut, sanded, ground off ect) and then you just plug them in and ur done. Now as far as the telemetry goes, thats simple too, wrap the temp sensor around the cooling head ( you may have to adjust which fins you put it around to get and accurate temp, but thats no biggie), now the RPM sensor. . .that sux. . you have to glue a little piece of black plastic that comes with the kit to the fly wheel and put the sensor on a piece of aluminum and use the engine mounting screws to put it on. . .*NOTE* it is much easier to do it with the engine mount off of the revo, TRUST ME. . .and make sure that the black square on the sensor is as close to the flywheel as possible with out touching it to get the most accurate reading, and once you do that all you have to do is set ur servo travel limits and BAMur done

Rob just got my dx3s. Any more tips?

Can I not keep the opti drive?

Unfortunately, the opti-drive has never worked and played well with others. I personally say to ditch it and install the FOC (Forward Only Conversion) to help strengthen the transmission.
