Hey guys I found an old piece of history!!! This is a team associated SC8 from probably the early 2000’s, and I’m looking to resurrect it! I need any parts I can get for this so if you have anything for this truck I would be interested in buying any parts you may have!! Maybe a roller !? Or even if you have any info on them that would be cool too!!

I always wanted another one! And I found this one from an old rc buddy! Got it for pretty good deal needs a good go through been sitting for 10 years

After doing some research and being able to find some parts availability I plan to completely tear it down and go through all the bearings and the engine needs to be disassembled and lubed up and inspected but it doesn’t look like it’s had much run time on it. I will have more pics up soon if this build!! Crazy what these used to go for when they were popular..

Finally got to get some wrench time on this beast!! After pulling the motor apart and inspecting it the motor wasn’t that bad looks like it has very little run time but the previous owner hacked it up and fabbed some kind of starter on it so I said the heck… I remember having this rb rt28 racing engine and figured why not try it out!! Mates it with a dynamite 053 for now till I can try it out. I also have a dynamite 086 to try so we will see!! So far so good. Needs a new rear driveshaft tho and a servo. Can’t wait to try this beast!!

The big of the shaft in the back plate is to show how it’s setup. I’ve never seen anything like it but this shaft is stuck and will not come out. Can anyone tell me if this is normal?

The roto start is rusted stuck in there? Thats quite funny. What engine is that? It almost looks like an ofna that i saw recently. Hopefully you can get it out of there. Nice replacement engine you got in there though

Thanks. I can’t wait to try it!! Gotta get a few parts but The stock engine is a pro .28 factory engine for the sc8

It's ball/hex on the end of the starter shaft. Not usually a tight fit. Was the motor seized and someone tried to spin the starter? I have actually worn out one of the starter shafts due to how loose they fit and I use a drill to start mine.

If you want copies of the original manuals/parts list they should be available on rcdocuments.com. I know I copied and uploaded them back in the day. I still have it all with the original box and packaging too.

The motor runs with the shaft it’s just stuck on there lol. I think he put it in there years ago when he sat it on his shelf ( so he wouldn’t lose it) then it just welded itself in there lol il try to get it out with a hammer
