Ok, English lesson. Now kids, when you want to make a word plural, and it ends in the letter "y", you take away the "y", and replace it with "ies".

Wow.... A thread that's over 2 years old.... I applaud your enthusiasm, however, if you would direct your attention to the search function, I'm sure you can easily see that the steel spur in savage issue has been discussed many-a-time.

Welcome to the forum!

Also, please don't post in all caps.

Thanks.

I have the very first savage ss to hit hobbytownusa. I called dibs and preorded just to get the first one.Mods:

hpi dual disk brake kit with steel hub. $can't remember?
t-maxx wheels/tires. $wasn't much
ofna air filter. $cheap
savage x alloy diffs $60.00/pair shipped

I think there is a reason there is little action in here.
The savage is a tank! I have broke some stuff but I accept full blame. The stock .25 has around 7 gallons through it,starts 2nd 3rd tug every time good compression hoping to get another 7 out of it? I dont have to fix it everytime I run it, hell I rarely have to adjust the carb? The steel brake hub and the diffs are a must,I prefered the maxx wheels/tires and the filter.Hpi has cured all origanal problems and made even more improvements in newer models.

So,really not allot to vent about.

HEY! i want your savage! i have nothing but trouble with mine, i'm almost out of hope, and completely out of cash....

Sounds like my first T-Maxx, I finally got tired of f#@kn with it and got it to go through a full tank and sold it. Thinking I was through with Traxxas I later purchased 2 T-Maxxs off this forum, sold one and went to the very far extreme on the other. Well I can start and run the ol savage but $4,500 tmaxx wont shift and I'm tired of it, Serio.23 eats the sh&# out of the driveline.Brand new rrp steelgears harded shafts everwhere.1st gear only??

well, my savy is used, but i've pretty much replaced everything, battery box, frame rails, servos, tranny, one diff, both drive shafts, rims, and i'm on my second new motor, this time its a STS D30M...i like the motor, i just think its too tight a pinch, i keep destroying pullstarts, and lately, i can't get it to run worth crap, sounds like you r holding ur finger over the pipe or something. i'm totally stumped since i'm fairly new to this. i love the damn thing, but i wanna run it over with a freakin truck right about now! lol!
