Well at least for me..

You know that feeling you get when you build a new ride? All shiney and new. Not a drop of nitro on it. Nor a speck of dirt. Or a scratch? When you hesitate to even fill the tank because it all looks so nice. But you do. And then you're not sure you want to clip the glow starter on it and pull the cord. But you do. And that big splat of nitro blows out the pipe. But you get it running. And she's sitting there idling. And you see the river of unburnt fuel running down the chassis. And you're sad because you deflowered her. But then you get on with it. Breaking it in. Still looks nice....And then....
I am to the point where I'm tuning my K4.6 for performance. I used a tank today to fine tune the HSN. Got it out of that 4-cycling stage and started to get her up on pipe. Just a little leaner and she was at about 250. And then I realized once she is, you can't keep the nose down. A little gas and this thing does violent wheelies/backflips. So I'm running without a body. Sure, I know what you're saying. He should know better. Nope. My neighbor is watching so I want to give him a good show. Get it out on the road for a high speed pass. Clamp the throttle from a rolling start. And the thing just does the nastiest back flip. I go and right her. And I see it. The huge gash in the roll bar and the shaved top fin on an otherwise pristine purple cooling head. Well gentlemen, I guess she's now officially broken in. To me, once you scratch the head, there's no turning back.
On the upside, it's now time to beat this thing good!

Sorry never experinced that. I'm always somewhat sacared. Then after that first pull I'm determined. Although i have 2 cars that dont run. I need more time.

Kinda like getting married... lol

Hence the reason I'm divorced.

Oh well, I can always buy a new roll bar and cooling head.

hehe i trashed my head on my brand new just broken in wasp .26 in my savage in about 2 minutes, i wasn't used to the toss my 12lb savage around like a ragdoll torque the wasp .26 had. i also remember overshooting a turn, going over the berm like it was a jump and hitting the chain link fence putting a nice gouge in my basically spotless V-Spec .21 head. oh well, i think I'm used to my r/c's looking bashed up.

Send it to me. I'll get the gash out and add some "bling" to her just like i did to Buncrana's cooling head.
