I'd like to throw RC Junkyard onto the list of legit hobby shops. They're primarily online, but they do pop up at multiple events throughout the year with a physical booth—yes, a real table, not just a sketchy folding card table with a box of zip ties and broken dreams.
I've personally bought from them more than five times (probably more, but who's counting?), and every single transaction has been spot-on. Fast shipping, cheap rates, and communication that doesn’t feel like you’re talking to a robot or someone being held hostage in a warehouse.
These folks are actual RC hobbyists—not just resellers chasing margins. You can tell they give a damn. Their prices are often better than most of the “big names” I’ve shopped with, and at this point, they’ve earned a permanent spot as my first stop for used parts.
If you’re into saving money, supporting fellow RC nuts, and not being disappointed... I highly recommend checking them out. Unless you like paying more for less—then hey, keep scrolling.
