i bought a new 2.5R and i was wondering if any one out there has one and ifthey like it more then the old 2.5 and does anyone know the HP rattings :hammer:
 
I am pretty sure almost 100% that the only difference in the 2.5 and the 2.5r is the Blue head. When I saw the stats for the two engines in a recent mag they performed almost exactly the same
 
I have a 2.5R in my Revo, but that would be comparing apples to oranges.

BTW, the 2.5 and 2.5R are not identical. Besides the different heads, the 2.5R has very slightly different porting.
 
well it may have different porting but it gives it no real advantage
 
well acording to my local hobby shopp he has proof right from traxxas that the new 2.5R is the same block,pistonand sleeve but the stroke is different and so is the porting
