So finally got the os .21tm broken in yesterday, amongst troubles with the ezy-start motor being a tad ruined (only starts sometimes in short stints then dies).

Its still running rich, and wants to do lots of wheelies, the only thing I'm not happy with is how scratched up the head is already from rolling over without the body on.....i guess it was always going to happen.

Well, as i imagined some drive-line parts were bound to break being 2 and a half years old, and abused, with a new engine twice as powerful as the old one....the clutch shoes disintegrated. thats all! so happy me so far...

I've ordered a pull starter and an integy 3 piece aluminium clutch which should be more up to the challenge.

But i love this engine! Plenty of torque, easy to tune, keeps its tune.

now just waiting for parts to arrive before my next session with it.

Thou needeth to fixeth it each time thou playest with it, or thou hast not fully enjoyed the earthly pleasures of it.
My son, goeth out and wrecketh it unmercifully, and be greatly pleased with thine carnage.

haha....well said.

Lol, when you bash, you break! :D I spend more time ordering and waiting on parts than I do bashing. Though once I get my fuel system and new engine setup in my Mutilator, I think I'll have a relatively solid truggy. I've been launching it off of my ramp, landing in all sorts of scary ways, even hit a maple tree once, and nothing has broken, so fingers crossed, hopefully I have something good!

just broke my tmaxx yesterday after a 3hour trip for fuel! already had the parts that broke on the way before i had em broke!

i just wish there was a hobby shop here in town the internet is great for cheap parts but the wait just sux!

Kinda funny how waiting for parts now feels exactly the way it did 20 years ago.:) The owner of the only hobby shop within 30 miles is scared of lipos, and pretty much sticks to the vintage side of things. He's good about keeping Traxxas parts on hand, but that's about it. Supper cool place to visit though. He has a Sledgehammer with an old, giant tekin esc in it, with about 12 nimh cells stuffed under the body. A couple of pristine Clod Busters, an old Tamiya High Lux, and other assorted old gems. It's the kind of place that you need to set 2-3 hours aside if you want to stop by.:)

THAT WOULD RULE!!!! wish it wasn't so expensive to open a shop or i would do it myself
