Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone.
I bought a brand-new savage 25 RTR about 2 weeks ago, if that.
Once I got the engine broken in, I started hittin jumps and what not. So my carb comes loose so I check it. I loosen the lock pin nut and try to remove my carb, ut-oh the lock pin is frozen and I could not get it out for the life in me. When I did finally get it out, the carb body was all messed up and it needed replacing. So... I said forget burnin money into a stock engine, so I bought a wasp .26, wheelie bars and everything for the spider mod. So I got the engine installed along with the wheelie bars and I was off to break it in. (1 tank idle, etc etc. was done correctly). After about 2 tanks my diffs went, so I took it apart and did the spider mod. After I was done with the spider mod, the next day I decided to lean out the engine a little bit since it was broken in. Last night it kept doing wheelies on accident, even when I barely hit the throttle. so of course I was looping it here and there -- even with the wheelie bars, and by looping it, it ate my antenna in half and it went down the parking lot at full speed (lost the signal) and it smacked into a curb -- dead on -- at full speed. my TVP (vertical chassis), servo saver, radio box, fuel tank, skid plate, the aluminum plate thats under the skid plate and some other parts are totally ruined
So I was thinking about upgrading the TVP to the Golden Horizons 7075-T6 Aluminum Chassis for $70 -- which is 3mm thick.

Do you guys think its worth the extra money for the 7075 / 3mm? I don't care about looks, but if this wont tweak as easy as the stock one I would rather get it. I know that -- no matter what I have, hitting something dead-on @ full speed will usually result in a few broken parts
and of course my fail safe will be here on monday LOL
