Well as many of you know by now my T-maxx went kamakazi on me the second time I ever ran it luckly some very nice members Zandor and Plaidfish helped me out when I was down on my luck. I got it all back together today and took it out to try it again, it fought with me to start but finally fired up and ran good with a couple tweaks of the fsn. I drove it across the yard slowly and turned it around and got on it and it jumped foward then stopped moving and the motor reved way up, come to find out the motor had moved slightly in my crash and the mesh was off so it ripped the spur gear all to hell . I just had to shake my head :nope: and laugh at least this time I'm not carrying it into the house in pieces lol and I have a couple gears from a rustler that I think will work??. Man everytime I drive this thing it ends up a learning experience lol. Couple more months and I will know every inch of this thing and be able to take it apart and put it back together with my eye closed . Has anyone else had the same kind of luck as me? I have ran it for about 10 minutes and I have brought it in broken twice with a total of 3 runs? So am I still considered a :n00bie: ? I mean everytime it breaks I fix it myself , of course with help from people here. My guess is probally yes lol , I have had lot of time running my Rustler I share with my son and have never had this many things happen but anyway I will fix it again and take it out tomorrow and see what I can learn Hahah

Thats the whole fun of it. I just got my hotbodies lightning stadium rr and have already taken it down to nothing, and put it back together (never run it b4) and I did the same thing with my hyper 7. My rc10gt was different, i broke it b4 i took it apart, but it still was fun!

Yeah I have fun working on it so not that big of a deal I'm thinking about taking it all apart and checking everything. I bought it used so I'm starting with somthing someone else might have neglected. I just can't wait to actually run it for more than just a couple minutes I will cross my fingers and try it again tomorrow :)

I've had my Tmaxx over 3 years, about 4 or 5 gallons through it, and so far I've broken 2 fuel tanks (body off) 3 spur gears, and about a dozen silicone exhaust connectors.
I drive the hell out of it, but I avoid the big air.
Oh.......and I also avoid posts.
I think, if I ever did major damage to it, I'd probably hurl.

Only 5 gallons in 3 years? I put 5-6 gallons (at least) through my hyper 7 and she still runs strong and tight. I do avoid the big air and post like rolex tho.

Sorry Rolex this isnt enough to make me :puke: lol, I'm never going to hear the end of that silly post am I well ill just have to poke you with my mighty stick, take that :stick:

Yeah them post are not very forgiving

No, you'll never hear the end of it. Good title, bad story, very happy ending. Memorable, to say the least.
I ran 3 gallons this past season when a track finally opened up here in the middle of the summer. Pryor to that, it was pretty boring doing occasional runs around the lawn and on the driveway.
Now that there's a good following building at the track, I'll be burning plenty of fuel this season.

I know it all in fun, and I found a track sort of near to me 60miles or so away that I was thinking if I can get this thing to run to go and race with other people its www.ratraceway.com I think I would only go up there every other weekend or so since its kind of a long drive. Other than that there is nothing in my area except Hobby Town Usa has a track they set up in the parking lot but thats mostly for touring cars I dont think they would appreciate me running over there cars very much lol

woops forgot to give you the mighty stick :stick:

Great clay track here, 3 miles from the house. Major banked curve allows you to hit the straightaway flat out. All last season was free, just trying to attract customers. This year it's time to pay.
Stop messing with that stick, you'll put someone's eye out. :hammer:

Don't feel bad jesse, I still brake something everytime I run stuff...I usually take 2 or 3 RCs w/ me and 1 always gets broken somehow....I laugh when people ask me how long I run them when I go to the track, I say "till it breaks"...LOL...and that's the truth...when I walk in my LHS the first hting asked is "What did ya break this time?"

Yeah I kind of figured that its the same way with 4 Wheeling seems like everytime I took my Chevy out I came home with something broken. Its sitting at my Dad,s house now with a blown tranny, hopefully I can get that fixed someday soon too lol

Untill that happend it was pretty much would go over and through just about anything. I have pics of it where the tires are almost completly under snow and it has 33 inch tires on it!!! and it diddnt even hesitate going through it my buddy barried his Jeep Cherokee and I was litterly driving circle around him while he was digging himself out, refused to let me pull him out lol

well when i had my maxx it wasn't easy on my walet the least little bit what drove me to sell it was when i broke the engine mount got it fixed and then the next time i drove it it got out of range and went into a curb broke the engine moung again a was pissed so thats when i drew the line adn said skrew it I'm not taking this any more so i sold it and i had had probably 800-900 dollars in it and only got a whoping 100$ out but it taught me lots and it was a good start to get into the hobby.

Yeah its been very frustrating , I just want to go drive it for a while lol longer than 5 minutes. At least its something simple to fix this time. I took it completly apart last night and cleaned and checked everything on it and found a couple more things broke, I had bought a new flywheel for it about 4 of 5 months ago and decided to put it on last night, when I tool off the bell I found that the clutch was broken where one of the pegs go through it and the peg was completly gone off the flywheel, so I replaced the flywheel and the clutch is mostly intact so I put it back together for now I have a feeling that had something to do with what happend to the spur gear and it grabbed at the wrong time and bound things up. Then after cleaning it very good I noticed that the steering block "spindel" was cracked from the crash its not too bad for just crusing around but I'm sure if I jumped it, it would break anyway its fun working on it as long as it doesn't cost me alot of $$$$. I got it cheap on ebay 100.00 mabe it was your lol :jk: It gives me something to do I was hurt in a car accident so I can't do much so it keeps me busy. My truck looks awesome now I spent 5 or 6 hours taking it completly apart and cleaning everything and replacing bad/stripped screws its a cool hobby and I'm glad I have it or I think I would go insane LOL.This site is now part of my hobby also hehe I've learned so much from reading these forums and no one get on me about my questions. Except Rolex keeps tryin to :puke: on me lol thanks for the imput.

Jesse

LOL poor thing mabe you should poke him with a stick :stick:
