oh lord hope i didnt get them mixed up haha jk jk yes its nitro. now watch I'm going to run it and its gona drink a gallon in one day lol

You guys up above don't be thrashing on him. Just because he actually spends a good day or two doesn't mean he has to much money, or has no life, or is rich. He just chooses that thats what he wants to do with his money. It's very easy for me to go through a whole gallon in a weekend of bashing with my LST2. Something you guys may not be putting into thought is that Big Blocks will drink it a lot faster then Small Blocks.

But back to topic. the fuel here has gone up about 5 dollars so it isn't all bad. It runs about $33.00 after tax and all for any 20% brand at my LHS and $35.00 for 30 or 33% So I don;t complain all that much. I'm really looking to go for a Gasser this summer though.

Let's face it, if anyone here was looking to get into an inexpensive hobby, they would be framing their puzzles or counting stitches in their crotcheting instead of posting to this forum. I'm no big budget guy myself but got into this hobby while deployed for something to do here as well as take home and enjoy with my oldest son. Sure, it can be pricey, but there's more to it than just toy cars. We are required some basic skills such as radio knowledge, gained mechanical skills, increased engineering understanding, engine and suspension tuning among others who's basic understanding can also be applied to other areas of every day life for adults and a serious education for our younger enthusiasts. Just don't tell them that or they'll be locked up in their room again looking for a new game for playstation. Adults, who's to judge, I call it a better use for my beer money. As far as kids, I'd wrather see them putting money into a hobby that also provides a certain level of skill and knowlege instead of them dropping $2,000 in big shiny wheels for their $500 car they drive to school.:D

In the summer, I can go through a gallon in 3 days. Fuel, that last time I bought it, was $29.50, per gallon.

oh yeah, i can easely burn a gallon a day.

Nitro is around 45 a gallon here too, 20%. and quarts are like 12-15ish. it sucks.

It's kind of expensive but there are tons more hobbies that are more expensive

A men brother! My other "hobbies" are dirt bikes, snowmobiles and my true passion, wheeling the crap out of my jeep. Thanks for reminding me of all the work I have to do when i get back home and why deployment hobby might wind up on a shelf till next deployment....which unfortunately is never that far away.

I don't know about where you live, but around here it's going for $45 a gallon + tax. That puts me at $50 OTD, and that's just too much IMO. Sadly, what started off years ago as a way for me to unwind when I didn't feel like loading up the bikes and heading to the track, has now become almost too expensive to keep up. I can burn through a gallon in my Savage in two days no problem, and if I bring any other cars out then you can cut that down to one day and maybe a few tanks left over. I love the sounds and smells of the nitro cars, but what little fuel I have left I think I'm gonna dial 'em in and sell them off. What's everyone elses take on the cost of fuel lately?

its 28.98 at my lhs and i just move from another town where it was the same so far luckey at living by fully stock hobby shops. IT has all the parts for my truck . went in today to pick up a gallon and some parts. i ahve a problem with my g/p wire . ihave to replace it after about three tanks. what the heck

I'm not to worried about the gas price the cars coast more in parts then anything

Here in the UK i am paying 24 pounds for a gallon 20% big bang Tornado retails at over 30 pounds.
And we are running 5 trucks buggies etc,but we all share the costs.
But i look at it this way.
I don't gamble or do drugs i only have a drink or few at the weekends, and it is my hobby.
So i guess i will carry on paying for the fuel:)

dang. i thought mine was average at 30$ a gallon. now i know that's way below many of you guys and gals.

This is why the 2 stroke Baja is selling so well . Just good old gas from the gas station for $3.oo a Gallon. And you can use your other $ 27.oo on parts or just save it to make up the diffrence in the price you payed for the baja. The price makes me think of switching over alot !

Yes, the price of nitro fuel has me looking at the Baja 5T. Too bad it is not 4wd, but at $42 a gallon for 20% sidewinder. A gallon jug lasts my son and I a not quite a month of Saturdays.
I'm thinking that in the long run the 5T might make up for the price.

yeah at my lhs it's $25.49 a gallon for 20% but i figure i worked hard (laid off now:() for my money so i might as well use it doing something i love

Hay darnoced If anyone really took time to do there homework before thay got started with RC car / trucks . The 2 cycle would out way in the long run ! The Revo + 10 gal of feul = $800.oo That = 1 baja ss kit
