A question:

What are the best shocks for savage?
What kind of shocks do you use?

Thanks for replies,
Kris

Stock shocks that came with my SS with a good silicone shock oil, works great for me. Plus if they break they are much cheaper than those alloy ones out there.

Stay away from the Hot Bodies threaded shocks!!!! I can't stress how big of a waste of money they are! I went through more shock shafts than I could count and that is even after I modified them them with stock shafts!! I use the stock plastic ones and haven't had a problem since. I hear good things about the HPI threaded shocks though.I almost bought a set but couldn't bring myself to spend another $100 on shocks when my stockers work fine.

UI run the hot bodies with stock shafts and have only one broken shaft and that was after hitting a pole at about 30

I run stock shocks with 30 wt front and 35 wt rear silicone shock oil. I do lots of bashing and it works well for both jumps and handling the smaller ruts and bumps. Stock shocks are cheap and easy to find replacements parts. I've only bent one shaft so far and it was an easy $4.00 fix.
