Lol sounds a little like surströmning(swedes). Very small fish left to rott in a Can. Has to be opened under water so the stench doesn't kill you. As far as I know we don't have anything thar repulsive in our cooking arsenal.

I got a nasty stomach virus, that included projectile vomiting, and frequent number 3, two late notices from the hospital, and a phone call from the cable company. Man I'm lucky! :\

NCNitro, feel better. Have an egg nog. It should settle you right out.

What you need NCnitro is a nice hot cup of glögg(similar to mulled wine), and some æbleskiver.

Egg nog doesn't sound nice in my book.

By the way, egg nog is a major holiday treat here. It's sweet, it's thick, has nutmeg, cinnamon and other spice, and many people add rum to it.

Sounds a bit like glögg, only with red wine, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, rum soaked raisins, orange slices and almonds.

That almost sounds like Fruit Soup (Sotsuppe) except for the cardamom which would be in the Fattigman (sp) cookies.

Made some awesome apple juice tonight and heading to the store tomorrow for more fruit.

On top of it all I bad about the best Christmas evening I could imagine. My boy (he's 5) got all bundled up in his new jammas, his spongebob snuggie and pillowpet. I turned down the lights, cranked the stereo and made some popcorn and we all sat down to watch the original Star Wars. How does Christmas get any better than that???
