Based on your thread of your MTX-3 buildup I went out and bought one with the MT 12 engine. Total price was $520.00 at my LHS.
Saturday was the first practice with the local racing series and I was really impressed. I have the only MTX-3 compared to like 5 TC3's, and a few other brands.

All went well except for bumping the wall with the exhaust pipe which bent the header. I was in a 4 wheel drift flying through a corner passing someone on the outside  when I smacked the wall.

Any suggestions on protecting this area? Other then staying away from the wall?

Maybe try passing on the inside. Try the old trick of letting them think you are going to pass on the outside and then dip back under them and let it rip. Most people will try to close the door on you by going high which is fine until you do what is mentioned above.

Slow down in the corners and get 40 plus shore tires. It seems your track doesn't have good traction and if you are using the tires that came with the kit, they are not good enough to stick to the track like a 40 to 45 shore tires would. The ones that came with the kit are 37 shore.

Thanks no problem, glad to see it is helping people. Team 17 deserves a lot of credit as he was the one Eddy and I got a lot of our post and pre purchase info from. The header with the kit is really soft and light. Eddy and I had a conversation about how weak we thought it was. I am comtemplating sending mine to FSTFBDY @ CE Coatings to have him put a hard powder coat on my header. Other than that I would worry about traction and control rather than making an area tuffer for hitting walls. Thank you got me all stoked on my MTX-3 again I think I will drive it after work today. Problem is the body I got won't fit over the bumper properly even with the smaller fron plastic piece. I have the Volvo s-60 by Protoform that looks like it was just discontinued.

I had to use the small bumper up front and shave off alot of the foam to fit my nissan 350 z body. I just had a new problem pop up, my dog bone just fell out of the right front. Is this common? I was thinking of backing it with fuel tubing to hold pressure on it.

Yes put a small piece of fuel tubing on each side of the dog bone. It'll keep it in place.

I am getting the CVD's just because I am anti dogbone. Plus when it is idling it makes one hell of a noise chattering those bones.
