Revos are alright, never had any real problems out of mine, other than broken rear bulkheads, but working on them is a pain in the ass. The Savage is a simple but durable design, unlike the Revo. Traxxas over-engineered the Revo, made things way more complicated than they needed to be.

so I'm just gonna throw this out there ,go buy a new diff and as other have said shim it correctly and move on....

Spend 600.00 +on it and I have to shim it correctly:)
If one of my customers pays me 600.00 bucks ........... and it breaks a in a few hours..............

Nah you know what i do care , you realize that these things are mass produced it don't matter what manufacturer and there is bound to be an error somewhere along the line, has anything ever broke on your 1:1 ,your mobile phone or anything for that matter.
at the end of the day either fix it yourself or have a bitch to traxxas .your opinion has been noted .
why did you buy an e revo if you're clearly a hpi fan.

All manufacturers rigs are breakable doesn't matter how well they are put together. I have never broke a diff in any of my rigs and that collection includes three HPI savage even though I just recently decided to start beating on my Savage X. I am no expert by no means but I have been in the hobby for quite along time. I remember when the HPI savage 21 came out. My brother(The savage guy) bought one new guess what broke it first hard bash session! It happens you fix it and move on. As long as you enjoy the hobby it really doesn't matter what brand. Even though Traxxas is my first choice Redcat maybe some one others I meen Hpi, LOL just kidding.:hehe:

I couldn't of put it better at the end of the day half of the fun is wrenching well it is for me anyway

I live in Pierce Id., about 80 miles north of Lewiston. Where do you live?

So what is the point to this whole thread, you stated your truck was broke within an unacceptable time frame I give you options /suggestions on how to fix the problem but apparently you have done nothing to fix it rather have a rip about taking it too seriously ....

they really need to screen these potatoes before they allow them to support??........
