Just got back from running my truck, and it died. I checked the temps and it was over 300 degrees. When I was tuning before, it was running around 270 without the body

When I was tuning it, it wasn't running too hot. I don't think it's too lean because it has a good smoke trail

Would the LSN make it have a smoke trail, but not actually be running rich enough?

Fuel with high oil content will make a smoke trail, and run lean lol. What are you using? Is the engine sealed?

The lsn being lean will also cause that problem and you'll still have a nice stream of smoke on throttle.

You're getting the smoke trail while running. That's the HSN. At idle and take off, it's the LSN. When idling, you should be getting a little spittle when you hold your finger near the exhaust.

Like Rolex is saying the low speed side is working threw more of the rpm range your running in most of the time the high speed dont start coming into play until about 3/4 open throttle or above so your LSN setting is very important.:whhooo:

Just let it sit and idle and tell us what temp it reaches JUST idling. DON'T drive it.
When it's reached its peak temp, pinch the fuel line close to the carb and count the seconds it takes to shut off. It will start to speed up, but keep it pinched. Let us know the results.

The body is cut from the factory with holes all over it almost. I'm pretty sure I'm getting the spillte from the exhaust. I'll test it tomorrow when I get a chance

I went to pick up some RTV the other day, and the parts store was sold out. I'll have to go get some. Who was it that has the sealing video on Youtube?
